Best LEGO Sets for Fall & Halloween in 2026

My family has officially started making LEGO part of the holidays.

  • We have Christmas-themed sets that come back out every year
  • LEGO Advent calendars have become a thing in our house
  • We even have certain LEGO flowers that come out around Valentine’s Day

So when I started looking at Halloween LEGO sets, I realized these actually make a lot of sense for us.

  • Build something together in October
  • Put it out with the rest of the decorations
  • Pack it away after the season
  • Bring it back out next year

And LEGO has gotten pretty good at giving us options.

You can:

  • Spend $30 on a light-up pumpkin
  • Build an entire haunted mansion with the kids
  • Go full cozy-fall with a cabin
  • Or drop $200 on The Nightmare Before Christmas.

The choice is yours.

So these are the Halloween and fall LEGO sets I’d actually consider in 2026.

TL;DR

If I were buying one specifically to start a Halloween LEGO collection at our house, though? I’d get the Halloween Pumpkin Lantern.

It’s inexpensive enough that I wouldn’t have to convince myself this is now a major financial decision, the kids could help build it, it actually lights up, and we could bring it back out every October.

That’s exactly what I want from a seasonal LEGO set.

Best Overall: LEGO Halloween Pumpkin Lantern

LEGO Halloween pumpkin lantern with ghost and spider decorations

This might not be the biggest or most impressive set on this list, but I think it’s the one that makes the most sense for the most people.

The LEGO Halloween Pumpkin Lantern (40872) is a new 2026 set with 323 pieces and a $29.99 MSRP.

The finished pumpkin has an actual light brick inside, which you activate by pressing down on the stem.

There’s also a spider and a glow-in-the-dark ghost minifigure.

This thing was basically designed to sit on a shelf every October.

And that’s why I’d buy it.

Why this is my favorite

I’ve built plenty of larger LEGO sets, and there’s definitely something fun about spending hours working through a huge build.

But I don’t think every LEGO purchase needs to become a weekend project.

For seasonal decorations, something smaller actually makes a lot of sense.

My wife and I could:

  • Build this with the kids
  • Put it out with the Halloween decorations
  • Pack it away in November
  • Bring it back out next year

And unlike the pumpkins I’ll help carve this year, this one isn’t going to turn into a science experiment on the front porch.

For around $30, I really like this one.

Best for: Families, Halloween decorating and anyone starting a seasonal LEGO collection.

Best Big Halloween Build: LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Haunted Mansion

LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Haunted Mansion set with haunted house, ghost, skeleton, monster, and werewolf figures

If the pumpkin is the easy recommendation, this is the one I’d buy when I wanted an actual Halloween LEGO project.

The LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Haunted Mansion has 736 pieces and is built around a two-story haunted house filled with exactly the kind of stuff you’d expect:

  • A graveyard
  • A creepy tree
  • An organ
  • A hidden ghost

And you get five minifigures:

  • A werewolf
  • A vampire
  • A ghost
  • Frankenstein’s monster
  • & A skeleton.

But the coolest part is the 3-in-1 design.

You can build the Haunted Mansion, take it apart and rebuild the same pieces into a haunted ship or haunted train.

That makes this especially good for kids.

Mine will build pretty much any LEGO set we put in front of them, so getting three possible builds out of the same box is an easy win.

I’d still keep the mansion

Let’s be clear, I’d probably build the mansion and never take it apart.

That’s the one I want sitting out with the Halloween decorations.

But having the other options makes this more than something you build once and put on a shelf.

It’s one of the better choices here if the building and playing part matters just as much as the decoration.

Best for: Families who want a larger Halloween build the kids can actually play with afterward.

Best for Adults: LEGO Ideas The Nightmare Before Christmas

LEGO Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas set with Jack Skellington, Sally, Zero, and Halloween Town buildings

The LEGO Ideas Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas (21351) is a 2,193-piece display set built around three locations from the movie:

  • Spiral Hill
  • Jack Skellington’s house
  • and Halloween Town Hall.

You also get:

  • Jack
  • Sally
  • Santa Claus
  • Lock
  • Shock and Barrel
  • plus Zero
  • and a brick-built Mayor

It’s $199.99.

So no, this isn’t the little Halloween set you casually throw into the cart while you’re buying groceries.

But I love what this set can do that almost nothing else on this list can:

It works for Halloween AND Christmas.

  • Build it in October.
  • Leave it out through Halloween.
  • Then November rolls around and suddenly it still makes sense.

December?

Still going.

If your family watches The Nightmare Before Christmas around the holidays, this could easily become one of those LEGO sets that comes back out every year.

That’s where spending more on a seasonal set starts making more sense to me.

Best Halloween Decoration: LEGO Halloween Wreath

LEGO Halloween Wreath with brick-built bat, skull, pumpkins, spiderwebs, and colorful spooky decorations

This might be the most obvious decoration on the entire list because it literally is one.

The LEGO Halloween Wreath has 617 pieces and includes:

  • Pumpkins
  • a Ghost
  • a Bat
  • and Spiderweb

ALL worked into the design.

Once it’s built, you can hang it on a wall or door.

Most LEGO sets are display pieces because we decide they’re display pieces.

This was actually designed to become part of your Halloween decorations.

That’s also what makes me think about the ornaments our kids have made.

Every Christmas, those are some of my favorite things to bring back out.

I could easily see something like this becoming the same type of tradition.

  • Build it together once.
  • Bring it back every October.
  • Eventually it stops being “that LEGO set we bought” and just becomes one of the Halloween decorations.

That’s pretty cool.

Best for: Someone who specifically wants LEGO to become part of their Halloween decorating.

Best Fall LEGO Set: LEGO Friends Cozy Fall Forest Cabin

LEGO Friends Cozy Fall Forest Cabin set with autumn trees, stream, bicycle, and Friends characters

Halloween gets all the attention in October.

But sometimes I don’t need another skeleton.

Sometimes I want fall.

The new LEGO Friends Cozy Fall Forest Cabin (42705) is exactly that.

It’s a 1,229-piece cabin surrounded by an outdoorsy fall setting, with four Friends characters, a dog, a squirrel and other little woodland details.

Inside the cabin you’ve got:

  • a Kitchen
  • Living room
  • and Bedroom

Outside:

  • The characters can roast marshmallows
  • Explore the woods
  • and Hang around the fire.

There are even hot chocolate accessories.

That’s fall.

Why I wanted “fall” represented in this article

Not everyone decorates their house like a haunted attraction in October.

Pumpkins are great, and ghosts are fun.

But:

  • Autumn colors
  • Cabins
  • Leaves
  • Campfires
  • and Cozy stuff belong here too

This also seems like one our kids would get a lot more actual play out of than some of the adult display sets.

You could put it out as part of the fall decorations, but it doesn’t become irrelevant on November 1.

It’s just a really nice autumn LEGO set.

Best for: Families and anyone who wants fall vibes without the Halloween theme.

Best Fall Display for Adults: LEGO Icons Autumn Cottage Garden

LEGO Icons Autumn Cottage Garden 11372 with fall trees, cottage, stream, garden, and seasonal decorations

If the Cozy Fall Forest Cabin is the family fall pick, this is the grown-up version.

The LEGO Icons Autumn Cottage Garden (11372) is new for 2026 and has 1,102 pieces.

And this thing looks like fall.

There’s a little cottage surrounded by:

  • Birch
  • Maple
  • Blue spruce
  • and Weeping willow trees,

Along with:

  • Seasonal flowers
  • a Vegetable cart
  • Birdhouse
  • Garden gnome
  • Stream
  • and Woodland animals

You can also rearrange parts of the garden to change the display.

This is the kind of LEGO set I could see putting on a shelf in September and leaving there until the Christmas decorations come out.

  • No monsters
  • No ghosts
  • No horror franchise
  • Just fall

Best for: Adults who want LEGO that doubles as seasonal home decor.

Best Movie Themed Pick: LEGO Ideas Gremlins: Gizmo

LEGO Ideas Gizmo from Gremlins brick-built figure with 3D glasses accessory

Look at him.

It’s Gizmo.

The LEGO Ideas Gremlins: Gizmo (21361) is a 1,125-piece build aimed at adults, and the finished Gizmo can be displayed standing or sitting.

His head rotates, and you can move his:

  • Ears
  • Arms
  • Hands
  • Fingers
  • and Feet

You also get some fun little references from the movie, including the water splash and 3D glasses.

At $109.99, this one obviously makes the most sense if Gremlins means something to you.

But that’s also why I wanted a movie-themed category.

Seasonal LEGO doesn’t always have to look like a pumpkin.

Movies become part of holiday traditions too.

If Gremlins is something you watch every October, having Gizmo come out with the rest of the decorations makes perfect sense.

And unlike a generic Halloween decoration, you could easily leave him out year-round if you wanted.

Just follow the rules.

Best for: Gremlins fans and adults who want a Halloween-adjacent display they can leave out after October.

Best Splurge: LEGO Stranger Things- The Creel House

LEGO Icons Stranger Things The Creel House with minifigures, WSQK van, and red car

The LEGO Stranger Things: The Creel House is a massive 2,593-piece set with a $299.99 MSRP.

We’re well past “little Halloween decoration” now.

This is a centerpiece.

And that’s why I wouldn’t recommend it to everybody.

If you’re looking for something fun to build with the kids one Saturday in October, there are much cheaper options on this list.

If you’re a huge Stranger Things fan and want a serious display set?

Different conversation.

The Creel House fits Halloween incredibly well without being something that has to disappear as soon as October ends.

That’s what I’d want if I were spending this kind of money.

For $300, I’m not putting it in a box for 11 months.

Best for: Serious Stranger Things fans who want the big display piece.

Seasonal LEGO Sets Make Sense

I didn’t really start thinking about LEGO as seasonal decor because somebody told me that’s what I was supposed to do.

It just happened.

  • We have Christmas LEGO.
  • We’ve done LEGO Advent calendars.
  • Certain flowers come out around Valentine’s Day.
  • The kids have made their own LEGO ornaments.

And those ornaments are probably my favorite part.

They’re not some giant collector set.

They’re something my kids made.

We bring them back out.

They remember them.

We remember them.

That’s the part of LEGO I think gets missed when everything turns into price-per-piece calculations and collector values.

Sometimes the value is just that your family built something together.

That’s why I like the idea of starting a Halloween collection.

Maybe this year it’s a pumpkin.

Next year it’s a wreath.

Eventually you’ve got a handful of things that come out every October and everybody remembers building them.

I’ll take that over worrying about whether I got the absolute maximum number of bricks for my dollar.

I also wrote about My Favorite LEGO Sets I’ve Built… So Far

Halloween LEGO Doesn’t Have to Be Scary

I also wouldn’t limit yourself to sets with ghosts and skeletons.

That’s why I included the Cozy Fall Forest Cabin and Autumn Cottage Garden.

October isn’t just Halloween.

It’s leaves changing.

Cooler weather.

Pumpkins.

Campfires.

Cabins.

My wife decorating the entire house while I occasionally get assigned a task.

There’s plenty of room for LEGO in that.

And honestly, some of the fall sets might be easier to display because you can leave them out longer.

A Halloween wreath probably comes down after October.

An autumn cottage?

I’d leave that thing out until Christmas.

Which Halloween LEGO Set Would I Buy?

If I had to get one right now, I’d buy the LEGO Halloween Pumpkin Lantern.

  • Not because it’s the biggest.
  • Not because it’s the most complicated.
  • Definitely not because it’s the most expensive.

It’s because I can actually picture how we’d use it.

  • We’d build it.
  • The kids would mess with the light.
  • My wife would find somewhere to put it with the Halloween decorations.
  • Then we’d pack it away.
  • Next October, it comes back.

That’s exactly what I want.

If I wanted a bigger family build, I’d jump to the Creator 3-in-1 Haunted Mansion.

And if I were shopping specifically for myself and wanted something more substantial for fall rather than Halloween?

That Autumn Cottage Garden is really nice.

There isn’t one LEGO set that’s right for everybody.

That’s half the fun.

More LEGO From ChannlerG

I’ve gotten way more into LEGO as an adult than I ever expected.

Part of it is the finished set.

A bigger part is the building itself.

When I’m working through a big set, my brain actually shuts up for a while. I’m focused on finding the next piece, figuring out where it goes and watching everything slowly come together.

That’s why some of my favorite LEGO sets aren’t necessarily the ones that would top somebody else’s ranking.

  • The Office matters because it was the first set I built alone with our oldest.
  • Going Merry connects to watching One Piece with the boys.
  • My McLaren F1 set basically restarted the whole obsession.

And that’s why I’ve written quite a bit about LEGO on this site already.
