LEGO Homer Simpson 11414 Rumor: April 2027 Release?

Just when I thought this week couldn’t get any more interesting for LEGO fans, another rumor pops up.

And this time, it’s Homer Simpson.

Rumor has it, LEGO might be releasing a buildable Homer Simpson figure in April 2027, and if the latest reports are accurate, it could be one of the more interesting LEGO Icons releases coming next year.

After seeing the massive LEGO Godzilla reveal earlier this week, I wasn’t expecting another announcement (or, in this case, a rumor) to catch my attention so quickly.

But a LEGO Homer Simpson figure?

…I’m listening.

Before we get too excited, I want to be clear: LEGO hasn’t officially confirmed anything. The reported set number, price, piece count, and release window all come from leaks, not an official product announcement.

Still, several LEGO news outlets are reporting similar information, and there’s enough here to make this worth watching.

LEGO Homer Simpson 11414: Rumored Price, Pieces, and Release Date

According to recent reports attributed to LEGO leaker UniBricks, the rumored Homer Simpson set would be part of the LEGO Icons collection.

Here’s what has been reported so far:

  • Set Name: Homer Simpson
  • Set Number: 11414
  • Theme: LEGO Icons
  • Piece Count: 527
  • Price: $79.99
  • Release Window: April 2027
  • Possible Design: Buildable, Oversized Homer Simpson Minifigure
  • Official LEGO Confirmation: Nope

These details have been reported by outlets including Brick Fanatics, Notebookcheck, and GamesRadar.

There are currently no official product photos, and LEGO hasn’t confirmed the set’s appearance, accessories, exact release date, or availability.

So although the rumor is interesting, I wouldn’t treat any of these details as final just yet.

Could We Be Getting a Giant LEGO Homer Simpson Minifigure?

Instead of another Springfield building, reports suggest that the set could feature a larger, buildable version of Homer himself.

Potentially something resembling a LEGO minifigure at approximately six times the normal scale.

We’ve already seen LEGO experiment with oversized character figures, and Homer seems like a natural fit for that type of display.

His appearance is instantly recognizable.

  • The yellow skin
  • White shirt
  • Blue pants
  • And that unmistakable face would make for a pretty fun LEGO model

Of course, the biggest question is how well LEGO could recreate his head and facial expression.

That’s going to make or break the design for me.

If it looks great, I could absolutely see this becoming a popular display piece for Simpsons fans.

But until LEGO releases actual photos, we’re all just imagining what it might look like.

LEGO Simpsons Sets Have Already Made a Comeback

One reason this rumor seems particularly interesting is that LEGO has already returned to Springfield.

In 2025, LEGO released The Simpsons: Krusty Burger (10352), a 1,635-piece LEGO Icons set.

That model recreates the restaurant with a:

  • Detailed interior
  • Drive-thru
  • Homer’s clown car
  • And seven minifigures.

I love builds that recreate recognizable locations from movies, television, and video games.

There’s something satisfying about seeing a fictional place turned into an actual LEGO model.

The Simpsons also have a longer LEGO history.

The Simpsons House (71006) arrived in 2014, followed by the Kwik-E-Mart (71016) in 2015.

Both became recognizable parts of LEGO’s earlier Simpsons collection.

A standalone Homer figure would be a different direction from those larger buildings, but it could complement them nicely.

Would a $79.99 LEGO Homer Simpson Be Worth Buying?

If the rumored price turns out to be accurate, I think $79.99 is at least an interesting starting point.

We’re talking about a possible 527-piece character display, not a giant $300 or $400 collector set.

That’s a much more approachable price for somebody who likes The Simpsons but doesn’t necessarily want to build an entire Springfield neighborhood.

Of course, piece count alone doesn’t determine whether a LEGO set is worth buying.

  • The design matters.
  • The building experience matters.
  • And whether you actually want to display the finished product matters.

I was just talking about in my article LEGO Godzilla (21375): Why I’m Not Spending $450

That set costs $449.99, and despite its enormous size, I found the official design pretty underwhelming.

A smaller LEGO set that looks great can be much more appealing to me than a massive one that doesn’t.

If LEGO nails Homer’s appearance and keeps the price around $80, I could see this being a really fun purchase.

But I want to see the finished design before making that call.

Why I’m Interested in This Rumor

I like when LEGO takes something familiar and turns it into a build that feels different.

Whether that’s a:

  • Video game character
  • Movie vehicle
  • Or recognizable television characters

…those are the sets that tend to catch my attention.

And Homer Simpson definitely qualifies.

The Simpsons have been around for so long that the characters are recognizable across generations.

When Will LEGO Officially Announce Homer Simpson 11414?

Right now, we don’t know.

The latest rumor points to an April 2027 release, but there isn’t a confirmed announcement date.

Until LEGO announces the set, the most important details remain unanswered.

  • What will Homer actually look like?
  • Will the model include any accessories?
  • Will it have movable arms or other features?
  • And will the reported $79.99 price hold up?

Those are the things I’ll be watching for.

Final Thoughts: I Hope This LEGO Homer Simpson Rumor Is True

After a week full of LEGO news, I wasn’t expecting a rumored Homer Simpson figure to be one of the things that caught my attention.

But here we are.

A 527-piece, $79.99 LEGO Icons Homer Simpson sounds like a fun idea.

And if the rumored April 2027 release turns out to be accurate, we might not have to wait too long to see what LEGO has planned.

I’m especially curious about the design.

A buildable Homer figure could look fantastic.

Or it could be one of those sets where the proportions just don’t quite work.

Either way, I’m interested.

For now, I’m treating LEGO Homer Simpson (11414) as an unconfirmed rumor and waiting for official details.

But I definitely want to see this one.
